Ron,

Overall it was very enjoyable to walk the course and not have to carry/drag our clubs with us. It took both of us a couple of holes to get the pace down on the cruise control but after that it went pretty smoothly and by the 18th the cart was just an extension of me. Anyway, I enjoyed using the carts and look forward to seeing them up my way ( Sonoma County ) in the future

Hi Ron,

It was nice talking to you and trying out the icady last weekend. After walking 18-holes at Poppy, I still feel fresh thanks for the icady. The control is pretty straightforward and easy to handle. In the end, it's a great idea. I hope to see more courses offer this cool icady. Good Luck!

Ron,

Thanks for the use of the cart this morning at Poppy Hills. I guess it helped because I made three birdies today. Never have made more than one in a round before at Poppy. I have been a "walker" for 35 years, but would use this cart from time to time. Especially in the winter months when I ad an extra sweater, rain jacket and umbrella. I never enjoy the added weight and your cart would allow me to carry even more cold weather gear. Thanks again and Good luck.

Great machine!!!

Great machine!!! Device worked great at Poppy Hills. I would definitely use it again at a course like poppy. Pebble and spyglass would be absolutely perfect since they restrict carts to path only.

Charlie and I went to Poppy Hills, and she used a powered "Hand" cart.  The cart is made by ProGolf Int'l., Inc and just by coincidence the president of ProGolf, Ron Davies, was at Poppy Hills.  If you have not seen this cart, it is industrial strength.  Charlie thought that it took a couple of holes to get use to, but after that short introduction, she said that it was great to use.  We used powered handcarts in New Zealand , but Charlie thought that ProGolf's product was far superior, and much heavier duty, than the ones we used in NZ.

I know that many at the Olympic Club are against handcarts of any kind, but the way the powered hand carts are being "marketed" at Poppy Hills, I am willing to bet the return on investment exceeds regular golf carts.  Not to mention lower upkeep and maintenance.  I think it would be a great addition for those who like to walk but who don't want to or can't carry their golf bag.
