Ron,
I played a round of golf at Poppy Hills on the Monterrey Penninsula. I like to walk golf courses because I feel it helps me to get some exercise but more importantly it helps me develop a certain rhythm to my game and swing - I usually pull a golf cart. Well, on the 9th hole my trusty golf cart lost a wheel and at the turn I walked into the pro shop to rent a pull cart. They directed me to an "i cady" for the remaining 9 holes.
The cart is solidly constructed which makes it pretty heavy, but after the first few holes, I became familiar with the direction and speed controls and was able to navigate it pretty easily around the course.…
Overall I liked the i cady and I think it has a future. Good luck with your marketing efforts. Best wishes,
Frank
Ron,
enjoyed meeting you on the course today, and I really enjoyed using the iCady. Everything was fairly easy to figure out, including the cruise control. Really liked being able to walk at a fast pace behind the unit on the flat fairways. Every once in a while I would pat the steering lever to get a course correction.
Also, the basket for shedding clothes is great. The score card holder is also very well thought out and easy to use. How about a place to stick a sleeve of balls, tees, etc. Also a place for turf mix for divot repair?
At first I thought you might need a reverse, but after I got used to steering, I don't think this is necessary. This thing is very maneuverable. It also handled all the terrain well (ups/downs, bumpy areas). I will definitely use it again.
I got a very good walk, but none of the tiredness that comes from carrying my bag, or pushing a cart. Good job.
